Church and State: Separate the Siamese Twins

Though this country was founded by people of religious faith, our founders were wise enough to know that the church and the state were two tigers that had to be kept in separate rooms. You may find it unusual for a Conservative to suggest we need separation of Church and State. After all, this is a cause celebe of many liberal institutions such as ACLU or Acorn Affiliates SEIU. Liberal organizations are always busing in protesters wherever there is a kindergarten that dares to start the day with the Pledge of Allegiance, a state courthouse displaying the Ten Commandments, or a high school commencement exercise that includes a prayer.

Somehow, because every thing Liberals do has the exact opposite effect on our country than they promise, the Liberal separation of church and state has produced a complete
integration of church and state responsibilities, and inevitably the complete REPLACEMENT of the church and the family  by the state. The social justice and cradle to grave society the Liberals have forced the government to take on is not what the government is supposed to do; it is what the Church and the Family  is supposed to do. By demanding the government take on a social role at a bankrupting and oppressive price, the liberals have destroyed the viability of both institutions, and destroyed our national solvency.

Not only has the government replaced the need for the Big Brother has also replaced the father figure in many American families.  In families whose sole source of income is based on government dependency,  there is no central figure in the home that is the wage earner, that makes sure the family's needs are taken care of, that puts his family's interests above his own.  The Ward Cleavers of yesteryear have been replaced with SNAP cards.   This is to our society's great loss.  Ward did not just bring home the bacon and pay the doctor bills, he also instructed and guided Wally and the Beave on the male perspective of life.  It is to our society's loss that we have lost the need for this counsel, and replaced it with the indoctrination of the views of the state.

If as Marx said, "Religion is the opiate of the people", then government dependence is the Oxycotin.  And just try separating the addict from their stash. Not going to happen.  Not in a million years.  They will continue to vote in the people that promise to keep their supply coming, no matter how bad they are for the country.   Hence, we have Obama II, the sequel.   If only we could just keep telling ourselves it is only a movie...
